Furnaj is located in Libya-Tripoli at one of the corner of the crossroad of university road, city center and beach road. Structure sitting on 1050m² of land with a building area of 3465m² ; including a basement, and 4 floor with a rooftop; It is total of 6-store building.
By the client request, the building was to design to rent or sell the building as whole or partly. There are 3 regions in the project, two office wings and circulation and service region. Considering the approach, the entrance to the building from the corner to the inner courtyard, where the edges of the wings are nearly getting in touch and defines the entrance. The two office areas and the service hall is looking through this courtyard from full glass facade with different angles on x-y and z axis. This courtyard helps to protect offices observing direct sun light and at the same time benefit ing the day light and cool air. Courtyard provides different spacial experience and impressive perspective at the entrace.
The outer shell with metal perforations protects the building from the sun. The two bodies bend at different angles and axes, so we can achieve a monumental geometry. The aim here is to provide different perception and sensation for the people approaching from the different directions. On the contrary, building has very pure and simple facades on the neighbor sides.
