Ceremonial Area planned inside Düzce University Beci Campus cover an area of 11000m². The Center is located in front of the University Presidential Building, at a centralized location and it is oriented towards Duzce city by benefiting from land’s topography. Planned area is composed of four divisions; observation decks, sitting areas covered by green areas and water, presentation platform and ceremony area. Shell composing the monument on the elliptical platform is constructed by dressing fibre-based concrete plaques on a steel construction. On the front facade of the shell is Ataturk’s silhouette and genuine word engraved with stainless steel objects. As it is a suitable product against weather conditions and traffic, ‘colored and patterned asphalt’ is applied as floor covering. Asphalt surface is colored after patterning by ‘ colored surface coating system’. Proposed led lightings are an important element in focusing the flooring to the Center by their ray and discrete effects.
