ABOUT
Because of the existence of public buildings around the project site, Mersin Court Building is located at a point where public users and citizens meet. The building around the site are multi-storey buildings, 13-storey Mersin Municipality Building at the neighboring parcel, with 30-storey Revenue Office and 50-storey Mersin skyscraper. The building has to be a multi-storey structure, because of the dense architectural programme with small site area. The office units of the courthouse, which has two different blocks mainly A and B, is located at the north-south axes to supply optimum environmental comfort. Service and public entrances are at different points, because of the dense circulation and the character of he building. The elements of the vertical circulation, which connect the blocks as a bridge, are at the center.
